NAFTOREMONT-NAFTOBUDOWA FINALIZED CONSTRUCTION OF NEW TANKS FOR DIESEL FUEL
Naftoremont-Naftobudowa has finalized the construction of two new tanks for diesel fuel with the capacity of 32,000 m³ each at the PERN fuel depot in Nowa Wieś Wielka. The company can therefore boast a successful completion of yet another fuel storage investment project. Two similar tanks have been put into operation at the fuel depot in Koluszki. The value of both investments exceeded PLN 130 million.
The finalization of the project entails that the capacity of the fuel depot in Nowa Wieś Wielka has been expanded to reach almost 360,000 m³.
The construction of the tanks for diesel fuel in Nowa Wieś Wielka for PERN is another project implemented in a timely manner in the fuel sector by Naftoremont-Naftobudowa.
The investment in Nowa Wieś Wielka and the expansion of the Gdańsk Oil Terminal are consistent with the Capital Group’s strategy. These industrial projects confirm our presence and activity on the market. We are proud to have participated in yet another investment of national importance. The Group has had several decades of experience and we have highly specialized resources with expertise in implementation of this kind of investments. We guarantee high quality and timeliness of our services – said Krzysztof Figat, the President of Polimex-Mostostal S.A.
The addition of new capacities has been one of the key development initiatives at PERN in the context of market challenges and client expectations, as well as the energy security of our country. As a result of the increased regulation of the fuel trade by the state, the demand for fuel storage has risen sharply in our country – said Tadeusz Zwierzyński, the Vice President of PERN.
The Fuel Depot No 2 in Nowa Wieś Wielka was established in 1979. The facility has 20 tanks which receive fuels from long-distance pipelines, rail and road tankers, as well as store and release the fuels into the market.
Having considered the market trends, the challenges in the power sector and the state policy towards the oil segment, PERN has initiated a number of investment projects. The company is planning to build another raw material pipeline that would connect the port on the Baltic Sea with central Poland. This will allow for a greater diversification of energy resources, as well as full quality separation of new types of oil for the customers of PERN.
PERN is in the process of expanding the capacity of their oil storage tanks. There will be 7 new tanks at the Gdańsk Oil Terminal and at the fuel depot in Gdańsk. In total the oil storage capacity will increase by almost 600,000 m³ and will reach the level of 4,1 mln m³. The construction of the new oils tanks has already started at both locations.
