The Torpol SA Consortium – a company of the Polimex-Mostostal Group has signed a contract worth PLN 367.5 million for the modernization of the railway line Kalety – Kluczbork section

On 6 March 2013, the Torpol SA Consortium - a 100% subsidiary of Polimex-Mostostal - signed a contract for the design and execution of works under the project "Improving the transportation services by improving the technical condition of the railway line no. 143 Kalety − Kluczbork section" 

The Employer is the PKP Polish Railway Lines SA. 

The tender was submitted by a consortium consisting of:

-  TORPOL S.A. – the Leader

-  INTERCOR Sp. z o.o. (Technical Services)

-  POZBUD T&R S.A.

The value of the offer is:

-  net: PLN 298 809 849.38,

-  gross: PLN 367 536 114.74. 

Torpol S.A. participation amounts to 65%.

The implementation period: 25 months.

This contract is another one, recently concluded by Torpol. In December 2012 a consortium of Polimex-Mostostal and Torpol concluded a contract worth PLN 1.6 billion for modernization of Rail Baltica railway line. 

Whereas, in February this year the bid in the amount of over PLN 214 million submitted ​​by a consortium of Torpol, in a tender for the design, construction and implementation of the radio subsystem of ERTMS/GSM-R, the design and construction of route fiber optic cables and the construction of transmission systems has been considered the best. Signing this contract will be subject to the conditions in accordance with the Law on Public Procurement.
