Polimex-Mostostal agreed with the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways on the completion date for the S-69 express road from Mikuszowice junction to Żywiec junc-tion

As a result of the acceptance by the Contracting Authority of the Polimex-Mostostal’s claims an annex to the contract was signed, which extends the time limit for completion of work to 1 in June 2013 

In the near future on the section of the S-69 express road Polimex-Mostostal will complete earthworks including excavation and embankments and perform ground strengthening in the excavation for the construction of road surface and the very surface structure composed of six layers (filter, technology, sub-base and three layers of bitumen: foundation , binding, wear). Finishing works will be carried out, i.e. including strengthening trenches, laying of curbs and sidewalks on the crossroads, as well as safety elements, including: safety barriers, road signs and road markings and green areas with trees and shrubs planted.

Within the completed section of road there are twenty-five engineering bridges, including the largest object - Rybarzowice overpass 1,280 m long with twenty-two spans. Load carrying structures have already been completed for nearly all bridges and overpasses. Finishing work is underway there. 

Polimex-Mostostal has mobilized appropriate own and subcontractos’ force to accomplish this task. At the peak of works, more than 1500 people are expected to be employed on this section of road. Hundreds of pieces of heavy equipment will be mobilized to complete the task including bulldozers, graders, excavators, rollers, pavers and trucks of various types.
