The Supervisory Board of Polimex-Mostostal appointed the President and Vice President of the Management Board

On April 23, 2013 the Supervisory Board of Polimex-Mostostal appointed Mr. Gregor Sobisch as the President of the Management Board. 

In addition, on April 24, 2013 the Supervisory Board of Polimex-Mostostal appointed Mrs. Joanna Makowiecka to the Management Board and entrusted her the function of the Vice President.

The new President and the new Vice President will take obligations on 3 June 2013. 

The Supervisory Board made the choice as the result of the conducted interviews. 

- Those are expected decisions for the Company and its shareholders. Mr. Gregor Sobisch and Mrs. Joanna Makowiecka are experienced managers, with significant seniority and professional achievements – Mr. Góra commented, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

- The Company faces significant tasks to be performed. I am convinced that the Board under the new leadership and in the enlarged form will perform them efficiently and rapidly. This is particularly important now, when the company performs deep and ranging restructuring program and the construction sector is affected by economic slowdown - the Chairman of the Board stressed. 

The Supervisory Board also extended until June 2, 2013 the period of the secondment of Dariusz Krawczyk, acting as the Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board, he is to perform the duties of a Member of the Management Board and the Chairman of the Management Board.

Gregor Siegmund Sobisch

Gregor Siegmund Sobisch received his architect and engineer degree at the University of Dortmund (integrated studies covering three areas: architecture and urban planning, engineering, water management and civil engineering construction and manufacturing/construction economics).

Professionally he is associated with construction. He was among others the of Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of PRI "POL-AQUA" SA as well as the Managing Director of Bilfinger Berger GmbH and the Chairman of the Board of Hydrobudowa-6 SA. He is involved as a chairman and a vice-chairman in the work of the supervisory boards of companies from the engineering and construction industry. He is a member of the Polish Association of Construction Industry Employers and the Association of Stock Exchange Issuers.

Joanna Makowiecka

Joanna Makowiecka is a graduate of the Department of Management and Marketing at the School of Management and Marketing in Warsaw. In 1999 she received her MBA from the University of Warsaw in collaboration with the Staffordshire University, the University of Antwerp, the Free University of Brussels. In 2013 she graduated from the Advanced Management Program at the IESE University of Navarra.

She was among others the Member of the Board at BUDIMEX SA (Ferrovial), the HR Director at Telekomunikacja Polska SA (France Telecom) and the Personnel Director in UNIPROM SA as well as the HR Development Manager at Japan Tobacco International Company.
