Polimex-Mostostal and PGE GiEK SA signed an annex to the contract for the construction of power units in Opole Power Plant
On 16 May the consortium, including Polimex-Mostostal, and PGE Mining and Conventional Energy SA signed an annex to the contract for the construction of power units 5 and 6 at PGE Power Plant Opole SA.
The annex was signed in connection with the decision taken by PGE GiEK SA on the closure of the investment project "Project Opole II". It specifies accounting for costs incurred by the consortium in the preparatory works for the implementation of the contract.
The annex also constitutes an agreement on the extension of up to three months from the date of its signing, the possibility of PGE SA GiEK to transfer the notice of the intention to deliver the commencement order for the Consortium works covered by the contract.
The contract for the construction of two power units, 900 MW each, was signed in February 2012, in the EPC formula (Engineering, Procurement, Construction - design, supply, construction, start-up, commissioning and service during the warranty period).
It’s value is:
PLN 9 billion 397 million net
PLN 11 billion 558.3 million gross.
The contract was signed by a consortium composed of
Rafako SA – the leader,
Polimex-Mostostal – a partner,
Mostostal Warszawa SA - a partner.
Polimex-Mostostal participation in the consortium is 41.77% (PLN 4 billion 827 million gross).
