Polimex-Mostostal, as a member of the consortium signed an executive authorities GiEK PGE SA, an agreement setting out the terms of cooperation in the implementation of the agreement on the construction of two power plants in Opole power plant.
On the 25th of this month, Polimex-Mostostal, as a member of the executive consortium consisting of: Rafako, Polimex-Mostostal and Mostostal Warszawa, has signed an agreement setting out the terms of cooperation in the implementation of the agreement on the construction of two power generation units in Opole power plant with the Employer, GiEK PGE SA.
Under the agreement, the Employer has approved drafts of subcontracts between the members of the consortium and agreed to their conclusion.
On the 25th of this month, Polimex-Mostostal has also signed an annex to the agreement with creditors, which opens, among others, the possibility of obtaining bank guarantees for new projects, in particular for a large contract for the construction of two power units at the power plant in Opole.
Signing the documents and the ability to obtain a bank guarantee, bring closer the commencement of the implementation of this large and crucial for the Polish energy sector contract, the construction of two power units at the power plant in Opole. The gross value of it is PLN 11.5 billion. Polimex-Mostostal’s share amounts to 42%.
Polimex-Mostostal is well prepared for this project. The company is ready to order a general mobilization. Managers of Polimex-Mostostal have the experience and know-how in the construction of large power plants. Polimex-Mostostal also has significant experience in cooperation with major international partners. This contract is well protected financially.
