Joanna Makowiecka-Gaca became the President of Polimex-Mostostal Management Board

- In the interest of Polimex-Mostostal Group and its shareholders is consistent implementation of strategic objectives. The decision of the Supervisory Board to appoint Ms Joanna Makowiecka-Gaca as President is based on an assessment of the strategy of Polimex Mostostal Group, which received a positive opinion from the Supervisory Board a few weeks ago. “Today, the Supervisory Board decided that the chief architect of the strategy should take full responsibility for its implementation. Assessing the existing work of Ms President, we hope that PxM will develop rapidly, which will translate into its financial results,” said Marek Szczepański, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Polimex-Mostostal S.A. 

Joanna Makowiecka-Gaca is linked to Polimex-Mostostal S.A. from June 2013. At that time she was the Vice President of the Management Board. In 2008-2012 she was a member of the Management Board of Budimex S.A. Previously she held managerial positions, among others, in Telekomunikacja Polska S.A., Mondi Packaging, and Japan Tobacco.

She graduated from the College of Management and Marketing at the Department of Management and Marketing. In 1999 she received her MBA from the University of Warsaw in collaboration with Staffordshire University, University of Antwerp, and Free University of Brussels. In 2013 she graduated from the Advanced Supervisory Program at the IESE University of Navarra.
