Two further material contracts concluded by Torpol – a Polimex-Mostostal Group company –for the reconstruction of a railway line worth over PLN 1.04 billion.

Yesterday, i.e. on 2 March 2011, a Consortium of companies featuring Torpol Sp. z o.o. - a 100% subsidiary company of Polimex-Mostostal – signed two contracts for the execution of construction works as part of the project: ‘Modernisation of the E 65 / C-E 65 railway line along the section Warsaw – Gdynia – LCS Gdansk area, LCS Gdynia’.

PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. with the registered office in Warsaw is the Ordering Party.

The contracts were concluded by a Consortium of the following companies:

o  TORPOL Sp. z o.o.,

o  FEROCO S.A.,

o  Zakład Robót Komunikacyjnych – DOM w Poznaniu Sp. z o.o.,

o   Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Technicznych INTERCOR Sp. z o.o.

Total value of the contracts exceeds:

o  PLN 850.6 million net,

o   PLN 1.46 billion gross.

Participation of Torpol in the works amounts to approx. 47 % (i.e. approx. PLN 400.4 million net, PLN 492.5 million gross).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

-          Polimex-Mostostal develops its activity in the road and railway building sector. These are the next material contracts in this sector which we have concluded recently. In the coming months, there will be further tenders for the construction and modernisation of roads and railways.
