Today, that is on 5 February 2009, Polimex-Mostostal has signed a contract of purchase of shares in the Pracownia Wodno - Chemiczna "EKONOMIA" Sp. z o.o. having its seat in Bielsko-Biała.

Pracownia Wodno-Chemiczna ‘EKONOMIA’ specialises in rendering services with respect to water and industrial sewage treatment, including, among others:

expertise, technical and economical analyses with respect to modernisation or construction of new systems,
designing new and modernising existing water and sewage treatment plants,
designing sanitary systems: water supply and sewage systems, ventilation and gas supply systems (including internal networks and systems),
developing environmental impact reports and aquatic legal surveys,
executing equipment design and licence documentations subject to technical supervision,
supply completion,
acting in the capacity of a managing contractor,
‘turnkey’ investment execution.
Pursuant to the contract, Polimex purchased 5,250 (in words: five thousand, two hundred and fifty) shares in the company constituting 75 % of the number of votes at the Assembly of Partners for 700,000 (in words: seven hundred thousand) PLN.

Transfer of ownership of the shares onto Polimex-Mostostal took place on the day of conclusion of the contract.

The remaining 1,750 (one thousand and seventy-five) shares constituting 25% of the votes at the Assembly of Partners will be purchased by Polimex-Mostostal following 3 years of the date of conclusion of the contract, for a price depending on the financial results of ‘Ekonomia’, not more than 300,000 (three hundred thousand) PLN.

Polimex intends to continue the current activity conducted by ‘Ekonomia’.

Polimex assumes development in the water and industrial sewage treatment industry due to the growing demand for services with respect to it. To do so, it is developing its execution and design capabilities. We are realising the task through, among others, taking over new companies. Thus, we have decided to purchase the Pracownia Wodno – Chemiczna ‘EKONOMIA’ Sp. z o.o. which will allow for comprehensive company management and reinforce our project execution capabilities in the country and abroad. In 2008, Polimex-Mostostal S.A. signed, among others, contracts regarding construction of a new water treatment plant at Zakłady Azotowe Kędzierzyn S.A. worth 61 million PLN net and modernisation of a water treatment plant at LOTOS S.A. refinery worth 44 million PLN net, informs Konrad Jaskóła, President of the Management Board of Polimex-Mostostal.
