Today, that is on 30 December 2008, Polimex-Energo sp. z o.o. - a 100% subsidiary company of Polimex-Mostostal - has signed a contract of purchase of the organised part of EceRemont having its seat in Zielona Góra.
EceRemont sp. z o.o. derived from the structures of Elektrociepłownia Zielona Góra S.A. in 1995 as a result of restructuring activities.
Subject matter of the activity conducted by the purchased part of EceRemont includes repairs and maintenance as well as installations of power equipment and manufacturing equipment for power engineering, among others air, water and steam heaters, thermal centres, chimneys and steel towers.
The average employment within the purchased part of EceRemont in the recent period amounted to 70 persons.
The value of the transaction amounts to 2,850,000 million PLN (two million, eight hundred and fifty thousand zlotys) and has been fully financed from Polimex-Energo Sp. z o.o. own resources.
-Polish power engineering requires significant financial outlays related to the need to adjust to the EU requirements (gas emissions), improving the effectiveness and increasing the volume of the power generated. In the longer perspective, it is planned to annually provide approx. 1,000 MW of power, which means that each year approx. 2 billion EUR will have to be invested in the power engineering, informs Konrad Jaskóła, President of the Management Board of Polimex-Mostostal.
-Polimex plans to take a significant part in the realisation of the task. For this purpose, we are developing our executive and designing capacities so that in the long-time perspective investors can be offered comprehensive services regarding provision of high capacity power units, adds the President.
-Purchase of EceRemont as well as the multiline design studio being established in Gliwice constitute part of the plans, explains Konrad Jaskóła.
