Polimex-Mostostal SA - Signing the key contract for the construction of a power unit in Kozienice Power Plant

On September 21, 2012, the Polimex-Mostostal SA signed a contract to build a power unit of gross electric power of 1075 MWe in Kozienice with a company of ENEA group. The contract will be carried out by the consortium of Hitachi Power Europe GmbH. The contract is worth 6.3 billion PLN, of which 42.7% are covered by Polimex-Mostostal.

The construction of the unit in Kozienice is a key contract to Polimex, but a very important one for the entire power engineering sector as well. This will be the most modern coal-fired unit in Poland and Europe. Construction process itself will last about 5 years, and the implementation of the contract will begin at the signing of the contract and the receipt of advance payment, which will be used entirely for the implementation of this contract. - Robert Oppenheim, CEO of Polimex-Mostostal, says.

I am also very pleased with the fact that all creditors of the Company have developed a consensus and, yesterday, we were able to sign an Annex to the Standstill Agreement signed on 24 July 2012. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who got involved in this agreement. - Robert Oppenheim adds.
