Polimex-Mostostal S.A. made the most advantageous bid for the construction of a football stadium in Siedlce.

The bid made by Polimex-Mostostal in the tender procedure for the construction of the ‘Regional Centre for Sports, Recreation, Rehabilitation and Tourism in Siedlce (stage I)’ has been considered by the Ordering Party –Agencja Rozwoju Miasta Siedlce Sp. z o.o. (the Siedlce City Development Agency) – to be the most advantageous.

The bid was made by a consortium comprising:

Polimex-Mostostal S.A. – Consortium Leader
PAGRO sp. z o.o., Kraków – Partner
The gross bid value amounts to: 28,635,279.12 PLN (twenty-eight million, six hundred thirty-five thousand, two hundred seventy-nine point one two PLN).

Polimex-Mostostal share in the works amounts to 75%.

The scope of the investment includes, among other things, the construction of:

a sports stadium,
training fields with accessories and lighting system,
internal roads and car parks,
technical infrastructure of the object.
Signature of the contract will take place following fulfilment of the conditions provided for in the Public Procurement Law.

Polimex-Mostostal is currently realising two contracts for the construction of football stadiums: 

for the reconstruction of the Legia Football Stadium in Warsaw, worth over 374 million PLN net,
for the works on the reconstruction of the Wisła Football Stadium in Krakow – the value of the works realised amounts to 244 million PLN net.
- Conclusion of contracts with realisation dates falling in the next and consecutive years has become one of the main responsibilities of the marketing services. Nevertheless, I remain calm as we are successively completing our portfolio with further orders. At present, the portfolio of orders amounts to 7 billion PLN, out of which for 2010 we have signed contracts for the amount of over 3.5 billion PLN. - informs President of the Management Board, Konrad Jaskóła.

- Our bidding actions are effective. We have recently made the most advantageous bids for the construction of:
- a section of the A-4 motorway for 779 million PLN gross,
- the Surzycki–Christo Botew Road in Krakow for 80 million PLN gross,
- a power unit at the heat and power generating plant in Bielsko-Biała for 500 million PLN.

At this point, let me mention the fact that the contract worth over 121 million PLN for the construction of a complete winning haulage system for the Lubelski Węgiel ‘Bogdanka’ S.A. will be signed in the coming days, adds President Jaskóła.
