Perspectives for new contracts for Polimex-Mostostal.

Polish power engineering requires significant inputs on the development of new capacities and modernisation of the existing production capacities as well as transmission lines.

- Manners of funding projects in the power engineering sector are becoming more and more defined, and bidding procedures are speeding up. Polimex-Mostostal intends to significantly participate in the realisation of those investments. To do so, we are developing a strong organisation in Poland and in this part of Europe, being a reliable partner for investors to carry out, as a general contractor, large investments in the power engineering and heat engineering, also those based on renewable resources, informs President Jaskóła.

Polimex-Mostostal, as a consortium leader and general contractor participates in the tender for the construction of a 480 MW power unit at the Siekierki Power Plant. The Company has qualified for the tender for the construction of two power units 900 MW each at the Opole Power Plant.

- In the coming months, there will be arising further tenders for the construction and modernisation of motorways, expressways and city ring roads as well as larger contracts in the railway building segment. Polimex-Mostostal wishes to continue to participate in the realisation of those investments, adds the President.

- Improvement of the traffic infrastructure and continuing competitiveness of the Polish economy will facilitate a successive increase of foreign investments and orders for the construction of industrial premises or logistic centres. This in turn will result in an increase of demand for steel products and galvanising services provided by Polimex-Mostostal, concludes President Jaskóła.
