Polimex-Mostostal has concluded a new contract for PLN 157 million

Today, i.e. on 27 September 2010, Polimex-Mostostal concluded a contract for the construction of the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk with the City of Gdańsk.

Contract net value:

· PLN 128 million.

Contract gross value:

· PLN 157 million.

Time of execution of comprehensive construction and installation works, including obtainment of a use permit - 36 months of the commencement of the works.

Built-up area - 6,901.01 m2

Building total floor space - 28,988.76 m2.                 

Number of parking places in the underground car park – 286.                                                              

The Centre will serve the following functions: museum, archives, culture, science and research as well as training and education.

The contract for the construction of the Solidarity Centre in Gdansk is to be executed by the Zakład Budownictwa Z5. It is a company that executes objects in the ‘turnkey’ system as a general contractor on the investment and this year will generate incomes from sale at the level of over PLN 600 million.

The contracts which we have signed recently include, among others: a contract for the construction of the A4 motorway section for PLN 2,196 million, a contract for the construction of the S-69 expressway section for over PLN 788 million, for the construction of the Centre for Innovation and Advanced Technologies of the Lublin University of Technology for nearly PLN 73 million, or a contract with Alstom Power for the installation of steel structures at Mannheim Power Plant in Germany for over PLN 59 million. These are contracts which, to a significant extent, will be executed in the years 2011- 2012, adds Konrad Jaskóła.
