Polimex-Mostostal completed the construction of national road No. 1 and No. 86 in Tychy

Nearly 6.5-kilometer section of DK1 and DK 86 in Tychy is fully passable. Modernization of the road has been completed.

Thorough modernization consisted, inter alia, of performing a new asphalt surface, construction of level crossings, separating local traffic from transit, repairing bridges, construction of a flyover at the intersection of Niepodległości Avenue and three underpasses for pedestrians. With the underground passes, drivers need not to stop at the entire length of the road.

- We are very pleased with the completion of DK 1 and DK 86 roads reconstruction. We implemented this contract in a difficult time for us. Nevertheless, we completed the work in a timely manner - Joanna Makowiecka-Gaca says, Vice President of the Management Board of Polimex-Mostostal. - Not only trouble of our company inhibited our work, but also weather and geology conditions. Work at the roundabout at the junction from Katowice lasted the longest, we had to reinforce the substrate.

The value of the investment amounts to PLN 190 million, while the value realized by Polimex-Mostostal amounts to PLN 121.8 million net and PLN 149.86 million gross. The Employer is the Municipal Board of Streets and Bridges in Tychy.

- We would not be able to finish the work, if it was not for the very good cooperation with the City of Tychy and the Municipal Streets and Bridges in Tychy. The city representatives were active in the construction committees, very efficiently managed the construction, made decisions quickly, and provided us with liquidity, a very important factor to us, that allowed the contract to be implemented smoothly - Joanna Makowiecka-Gaca explains.

Polimex-Mostostal has recently completed construction of the Swidnica-Gdow bypass and the Dzierżoniów-Łagiewniki road, which is part of the national road no. eight.
