Polimex Mostostal is back on the roads
On 3 December 2019 the Consortium comprising of Polimex Mostostal S.A. (as the Consortium leader) and its subsidiary Polimex Infrastruktura Sp. z o.o. (as the Consortium partner) concluded an agreement with the City of Konin – the Municipal Road Authority for the implementation of the largest infrastructure investment in the area in 12 years: “The construction of the connection between the Paderewski street with the Wyzwolenia street in Konin in relation to the modernization of the E-20 railway line”.
The gross remuneration for the execution of this project, which involves construction of the access roads to the railway viaduct connecting the Wyzwolenia street and the Paderewski street, amounts to PLN 72,440,687.64.
The scope of works within the project includes the performance of the following:
- over 73 km of gravel and concrete columns to increase the load-bearing capacity of the subgrade soil
- over 100,000 m3 of earthworks
- 13,500 tons of bitumen blends
- 2.3 km of a storm water drainage system
- reconstruction of 1 km of heat pipes
- 1,200 tons of reinforcing steel
- a 90-meter steel flyover
As per the Agreement, the Contractor is obliged to complete the tasks assigned by the Ordering Party by 16 September 2021.
By 1 November next year the roads should be passable and the entire investment is scheduled for finalization by 16 September 2021. The Contractor has undertaken to commence the works as a matter of priority.
