Opening of the gas pipeline built by Polimex-Mostostal

On September 23, the Szczecin-Lwówek gas pipeline, performed by Polimex-Mostostal SA in consortium with ZRUG, was opened.

Thanks to the new gas pipeline, it will be possible to transfer gas from the LNG terminal in Świnoujście to central Poland. The gas pipeline running through three voivodships (Zachodniopomorskie, Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie) is 188 km long. It was built in two stages: the Szczecin - Gorzów Wielkopolski section, about 118 km long, and the Gorzów Wielkopolski - Lwówek section, about 70 km long.

Polimex-Mostostal participated in the construction of both sections of the gas pipeline. It built a gas compressor station in Goleniów, the Lwówek node, the locks station in Ciecierzyce and four stop and bleed assemblies - in Kolonia Kiczarowo, Przywodzie, Buszów and Przytoczna.

Polimex-Mostostal also performed enclosed structures, delivered ad installed DN900/700 locks, DN 900 gas filter separators assemblies and more than 500 units of specialist cut-off valves, included welded to underground structures. The value of the whole project is more than PLN 586 million.
