A new Vice-president in Polimex-Mostostal

The Supervisory Board of Polimex-Mostostal appointed Mr. Maciej Stańczuk - Vice President to the board of directors of the company on 7 February 2014.

The Supervisory Board, as the result of a qualifying procedure, has appointed a new board member.

 

- The enlarged Management Board will be able to more effectively carry out the tasks they face. This is especially important when carrying out financial and operational restructuring of the company and the implementation of its new strategy - Gregor Sobisch said – the Chairman of the Board of Polimex-Mostostal

- It's a good choice for the company and shareholders. Mr. Maciej Stańczuk is an experienced specialist with significant seniority and professional achievements in the international business environment - Gregor Sobisch added.

 

Mr. Maciej Stańczuk is a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade of the School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Göttingen, post-graduate studies at the Faculty of International Economic Relations at the University of Mannheim. He also completed the IESE Advanced Management Programme at the University of Navarra in Barcelona.

He was, among others, a board member of the Polish Development Bank and the chairman of the board of WestLB Bank Poland SA (currently the Polish Enterprise Bank), where he served 20 years. He is the president of the Polish-Arabian Economic Council, a Vice-President of the organization of the Employers of Poland and a member of the "Initiative for Infrastructure".
