A new contract with LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services for the design and construction of an aircraft maintenance base at the Rzeszow-Jasionka Airport.

LOTAMS has selected the Consortium of Polimex Mostostal and Polimex Infrastruktura as the General Contractor for the construction of one of the largest and most modern aircraft maintenance bases in Europe.

In connection with the investment being carried out in Jasionka, near Rzeszów, a Contract has been concluded between the consortium comprising Polimex Mostostal and Polimex Infrastruktura and the Polish MRO industry leader (LOTAMS).

The project was procured through a technical dialogue, where the Polimex Mostostal Capital Group Team used its competitive advantage and proposed the most advantageous solutions to the investor, both in terms of technology and organization

The facility, with an area of approx.  30,000 sqm , will consist of an office and workshop area and a hangar area. The workshop area provides all the functions to carry out comprehensive maintenance and major repairs of passenger aircraft. The planned facility will house laboratories for non-destructive testing, avionics repair, a paint shop and more.

The hangar hall will be designed to simultaneously handle two aircraft the size of a Boeing 787-8, or the popular Dreamliner found in the fleet of our national carrier LOT.

A major challenge for the Implementation Team will be to assemble the structure of the hangar itself. We are planning to install precast columns with a height of 25 m and install steel girders with a span of 75 m and two gates with the dimensions of 75 x 21 m

As part of the task, we will also execute a parking slab with the area of 40,000 sqm .

The investment will be financed, among other things, with funds from the Company's recapitalization by the Polish Aviation Group.

A total of 21 months from the date of conclusion of the contract was set as the deadline for completion of the subject matter of the Contract. The remuneration for the execution of the subject matter of the Contract is net PLN 216,062,827.
