Golden Card of the Workplace Safety Leader for Polimex Mostostal Capital Group
Polimex Mostostal Capital Group has been once again granted the highest distinction in the area of workplace safety – the Golden Card of the Workplace Safety Leader for the years 2020-2021. The prize has been awarded by the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB).
In recognition of the extraordinary results by the Group in applying science and technology for the improvement of working conditions, safety and protection of an individual in the workplace, the Commission for the Selection of the Workplace Safety Leaders within the Central Institute for Labour Protection – National Research Institute (CIOP-PIB) has once again granted Polimex Mostostal Capital Group the Golden Card of the Workplace Safety Leader for the years 2020-2021.
The Golden Card was presented on 14 November 2019 during the gala following the 22nd Conference of the Forum of the Workplace Safety Leaders in Warsaw.
Each year CIOP-PIB evaluates the activity of the members of the Forum by awarding them Green, Silver and Golden Cards of the Workplace Safety Leaders.
“We are proud to have been granted this special award. It is a token of recognition for the whole Capital Group for our commitment to maintaining safe working conditions and a healthy workplace environment.
This award is a testimony to the effectiveness of our efforts in the field of occupational health and safety in all areas of our business. It is a source of great satisfaction for us that our initiatives to improve the workplace safety on our projects have been awarded with the highest distinction in the area of workplace safety – the Golden Card of the Workplace Safety Leader.” – said Krzysztof Figat, the President of the Management Board of Polimex Mostostal S.A.
The Golden Card of the Workplace Safety Leader can be granted to a member of the Forum who has already been awarded a Silver Card and who has actively cooperated with the Institute for at least five years. In order to obtain the award a company needs to maintain the rate of workplace accidents and occupational illnesses below the national average, as well as implement an efficient OHS management system. Last but not least, the commission awarding the Golden Cards evaluates the company’s strategic prevention activity for promoting the culture of safety and its investments in the occupational health and safety within the company’s operations.
After a positive verification of an application for the Card by the Commission for the Selection of the Workplace Safety Leaders, the awarded company receives a certificate which is valid for two years from the date of its granting. The certificate entitles the enterprise, inter alia, to seek the Institute’s support in terms of promoting scientific research aimed at improving occupational health and safety and to participate in various OHS events in Poland and abroad.
