Bid of the value of nearly 1 billion 100 million PLN gross made by Polimex-Mostostal group of companies in the public tender for the construction of an A-1 expressway section has been found the most beneficial.
Today, that is on 23 December 2008, Polimex-Mostostal has received information that the bid made by the Polimex-Mostostal group of companies regarding construction of an A-1 expressway section from the ‘Sośnica’ junction to the ‘Maciejów’ junction as part of the assignment regarding:
‘Construction of the ‘Sośnica’ junction at the crossing of the A-1 and A-4 expressways inclusive of the ‘Sośnica – Maciejów’ A-1 expressway section (inclusive of the junction)’ has been found by the Contracting Party – Generalna Dyrekcja Dróg Krajowych i Autostrad (General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways) to be the most beneficial.
The group of companies, beside the leader, Polimex-Mostostal, comprises the following partners:
Doprastav a.s. of Bratislava,
Eurovia Polska S.A. of Wrocław,
Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowych i Mostowych S.A. of Kędzierzyn-Koźle.
The bid net price amounts to: 899,574,217 PLN – (eight hundred and ninetynine million five hundred and seventy-four thousand two hundred and seventeen PLN).
The bid gross price amounts to: 1,097,480,545 PLN – (one billion ninetyseven million four hundred and eighty thousand five hundred and forty-five PLN).
The scope of works includes:
construction of 6.57 km of the A-1 expressway (2 roadways with three lanes each),
construction of a two-level ‘Maciejów’ junction,
construction of flyovers separately for each roadway,
construction of 8 overpasses, including 2 underbridges,
construction of 3 animal passages,
reconstruction of lateral and collective roads,
construction of retaining walls, acoustic baffles, drainage system, lighting
system and embankments,
new reinforcement and greenery of the area.
Participation of Polimex-Mostostal amounts to 30 % of the entirety of the works.
Execution period will amount to 21 months of the date of commencement of the works subject to the execution time being exclusive of the periods from 15 December to 15 March.
Signature of the contract will take place following control by the Head of the Public Procurement Division and fulfilment of the conditions pursuant to the Public Procurement Law.
Polimex-Mostostal launched activity in the railway and road industries in 2005. It is an area which we find very perspective. We are gradually increasing the number of executed road contracts in our portfolio. We estimate that the next quarters in the sector will be better and better.
